8 Questions to Ask Your Real Estate Team When Buying or Selling Your High-End Property

By in Blog with 0 Comments

You’ve made the decision to buy or sell your home. That was the easy part. Now, it’s time to find a good real estate agent or a team that can help you. Before you make your decision, you’ll want to make sure they’re on your side; that they’re willing to be patient with you so you can feel comfortable. After all, it’s important that you’re getting the best value for your home, whether you’re saying, “Hello” or “Goodbye” to it.

The Denver Luxe Team is a team of experienced real estate agents that will help you buy or sell your high-end home. But, no matter who you choose to be your agent, you want to be sure you know what you’re getting. So, make sure you ask these questions before moving forward.

1) “How long have you been working as an agent/team? Do you have references?”

There are some agents that have been in the business a long time, and others who aren’t as seasoned. Age is only a number, and you might find that an experienced agent doesn’t actually have as much knowledge as the “new kid on the block.” That being said, you want to go with someone who is reputable, has good reviews, and a history of getting buyers and sellers what they need.

Here at Denver Luxe Team, we have years of experience buying and selling luxury listings. We’re proud to be part of Keller Williams Luxury Homes International, and our clients are happy to talk about their positive experiences with us.

2) “What percentage of your clients are buyers/sellers?”

It just so happens that some real estate teams lean more towards buying than selling, or vice versa. But, here at Denver Luxe Team, we specialize in both. We want to provide you with a client-centered approach no matter what it is you’re trying to do with your high-end home.

3) “What is your marketing plan/strategy for helping me buy/sell my home?”

Every real estate team has a unique process to helping their clients buy or sell their home. But, ultimately, every client wants to be part of a process that keeps the informed and involved from beginning to end. No matter what the sale price is of the home you’re trying to buy or sell, we have a specific strategies, skills, and cutting-edge real-estate knowledge to make your journey smooth.

4) “What’s your experience in the area?”

You want to make sure the team you’re hiring has experience in the area you’re looking to buy or sell your luxury listing. If you’re looking to move to Denver, then there’s no team that knows the area better! We can provide you with information about various neighborhoods, so you can find the one that’s best for you. And, we help with relocation services, too!

5) “How many other buyers/sellers are you working with at the moment?”

Real estate teams don’t generally work for one client at a time, especially when there is so much demand for a luxury listing in a city like Denver. At Denver Luxe Team, we may have multiple clients at once. But, because of our team members, you can be sure you’ll get all the personal attention you need.

6) “What separates you from the competition (other agents)?”

There are a lot of real estate agents out there. Why should you choose this team over all the others? Well, if you’re looking for a positive buying or selling experience that’s bound to have strong results, then go with us. Each member of the team will work together to support you at every step of the process.

7) “Who can I expect to communicate with if I hire you?”

In some cases, one agent works solely by him or herself. This can be good, but it can also be difficult. Buying or selling a luxury listing has a lot of work that goes into it. Going with a team like ours means there is someone always there to take your call. We have over six professionals working on your behalf and each team member brings their own expertise to the table.

8) “How much do you charge?”

Commissions are negotiable in the real estate business, however, choosing the lowest priced agent might not always be in your best interest. If they are willing to negotiate down their own commission, what negotiating power will they have when it comes to negotiating on your behalf? In addition, properly marketing a luxury listing is expensive. If the agent is cutting his fees, which part of the marketing for their home are they also cutting out? It is not so much about how much you are paying in commission, but how much you are netting on the sale of you home. The right agent/team can make a huge difference in how much you will garner for your home and so making sure you have the right agent/team on your side is more important than how much commission you are paying. Here at the Denver Luxe Team we do not skimp on marketing your home at the highest level possible and so we are able to consistently sell our client’s home for the highest possible price.

Buying or selling a home can be a stressful time. But, having the right team can make all the difference. Are you looking for an agent to help you buy or sell your home? Then send us a message at Denver Luxe Team or call us now at 720-440-2640.
